Hemoroids are very painful swollen veins in the rectum or anus.
Symptoms of hemorrhoids include Anal itching, Anal ache or pain, especially when sitting down, Bright red blood on toilet tissue, stool or in the toilet bowl, Pain during bowel movements, One or more hard tender lumps near the anus.
There are many different treatments for hemorrhoids. There are many over the counter creams that can reduce the pain and itching. Other things you can do to avoid anal itching are to wear cotton undergarments, avoid toilet tissue with perfumes or colors, and try not to scratch the area.
